Polls have been an integral feature of Butter since its inception and have evolved significantly over time. We are thrilled to introduce Polls 3.0—our most refined and effective polling experience to date.

Here's what you can expect from the latest updates:

Complete Design Overhaul
Polls have undergone a significant transformation, now sporting a modern, stunning look while maintaining the distinctive Butter vibe.

⏭️ Poll Series: Launch Multiple Polls in a Row
For those who prepare multiple polls, the new "Launch Next Poll" button allows you to smoothly transition between them without closing the current poll. It's seamless and efficient!

📊 Poll Results Posted in Chat
We've made tracking poll results simpler by posting them directly in the chat. This update enhances visibility and keeps everyone informed throughout the session.

🤩 Bring Up Results for Everyone!
Revisiting earlier poll results during a session is now possible. Facilitators can easily reopen previous poll results right from the chat, making it easier to recall and discuss responses.

👍 New Poll Type: Quick Yes/No
The new Quick Yes/No poll type is designed for swift feedback and can be set up in advance of your session. More on this below!

✏️ Usability Improvements
We've made several enhancements to improve usability and participant experience, ensuring the polling process is not only smooth but also enjoyable for everyone.

Breakouts are not just a feature; they're a facilitator's superpower to energize, engage, and excite participants. That's why we've taken your favorite feature and turned up the dial on it.

Setting up breakouts is now a breeze. We've streamlined the process, so it's simpler, faster, and just feels right.

🤌 Smooth new breakout overview

Say hello to your new command center. We've reworked the breakout overview to give you clear insights, more data, and easy navigation during your breakout sessions.

📊 Activity, engagement stats and task list overview

Activity and engagement is now automatically tracked for all breakouts to make it easy for you to gauge where you attention is needed and you can easily sort groups by most/least activity or tasks completed.

🔀 Merging and splitting groups

Instantly merge or split groups without having to stop, or set up multiple different breakouts. Merge or split instantly - right from the breakout overview!

🤩 Observe mode powered-up with tools and chat!

You can now see the tools that people are using while in the observe mode! You can even chat directly with the group from the observe mode if needed!

👏 Revamped in-breakout participant experience

We've cut the clutter for a smoother participant experience, focusing on what matters: collaboration and simplicity. Plus, transitions are smoother than ever.

✅ New breakout history: Easily spotlight groups and revisit allocations

Ever needed to go back and see which people were in what group? Or maybe you've wanted an easy way to quickly spotlight a group to present their work? With the new breakout history, it's not just possible—it's easy.

Why should you consider a shared workspace?

There are several reasons to getting your team members consolidated in one Butter workspace.

Here are 5 big upsides:

  • 🤝 Zero friction collaboration: With your team in one workspace you can add collaborators to any room and session with a few clicks, build and prepare your sessions together!
  • 📁 Shared library of resources: Agendas, flashcards, presentations, videos and any other resource can be easily shared in the workspace library.
  • 💚 Easy sharing of recaps: Recaps are gold - and so much easier to share when you're in one workspace!
  • Workspace personalisation: A shared Name and URL to represent your company, company logo, virtual backgrounds and so much more!

How to consolidate your workspace?

It's easy enough to get your team moved to one workspace! Here's how you do it:

All recaps will be available in the new workspace (as long as you join the workspace with the same email).

If they've set up / saved items to their library, these can also be shared easily with the new workspace. Simply grab the share link and add to the new workspace!
